In 1991, Ken Holzheauser founded STAR Brokerage with two employees and one line in a two-room office in Houston, Texas.

By building a reputation on customer service and involvement with retailers, STAR Brokerage has grown to seventy employees and over one hundred lines.  The company has expanded from the Houston area to servicing grocery retailers, wholesalers and distributors in Dallas, San Antonio, Oklahoma City and Kansas City markets. 

STAR has emerged as an effective alternative to national brokers and continues to expand.
